Swivel car seats
Looking for a car seat for your baby it can seem overwhelming, as there are so many different models available nowadays.
When child is small and travelling rear facing, swivel seats are a highly recommended option, as they allow you to turn the seat towards the door to position the child more comfortably and with less effort.
That is why we have decided to create this guide where we want to help you, through advice and guidelines, to get to know the different functions of swivel car seats, so that when deciding on a specific model, you can be sure that you have chosen the type of seat that best suits your needs.
Benefits of our swivel car seats
In addition to other functionalities, these are the main advantages offered by this type of chair:
You can position the seat facing the door for easy access, making it much more convenient to put your child in and take him/her out. Considering the number of times you will have to repeat this action, you will see that this is a key advantage.
Thanks to the swivel system, as your child grows, you can turn and position the seat forward-facing without having to remove and reinstall the seat.
Models such as Tekie i-Size or Tekie Classic, Ronda i-Size and Revolta offer you the convenience of a single installation for the entire period of use of the seat.
Many of our car seats offer you the possibility to install the seat using the Isofix system or, if your car does not have anchorages for this, to install the seat with the vehicle’s seat belt.

Seats with Support leg
Features
• They allow you to rotate the seat throughout its period of use, regardless of the direction the child travels, so you have the freedom to choose the direction you prefer.
• Once installed you can turn it freely without interference between you and your baby.
• During the growth of the little one you will not need to change the installation, it will be enough to simply turn the chair to travel in the direction of travel.
• Something you should keep in mind is that these types of seats usually take up more space in the car and have a higher price than seats with Top Tether.
• It is advisable that your car does not have storage compartments on the floor, since the lid could give way under pressure and reduce the functionality of the support leg.
Seats with Top tether in the Backrest
Features
• They are easy to install and generally take up less space in the car than seats with legs.
• When the child is smaller and traveling in rear facing position, you can turn the seat towards the door.
• They offer you the possibility of installing the seat with isofix or only with the vehicle belt.
• One thing to keep in mind is the method of installing the chair for each group according to the size or weight of the child.
• You must change the facility based on the direction the child is traveling.
• When the child is older and travels facing forward, the turning system is blocked by the Top Tether.
Seats with Top tether in the base
Features
• As long as the little one uses this seat, you only need to install it once.
• It offers you a fully functional twist in all use groups.
• They usually take up less space in the car than seats with support legs.
• The backrest of the base is the one that incorporates the top tether anchorage which allows the seat of the seat to remain free.
• The Top Tether belt does not interfere between you and your baby when traveling rear facing.
Improves the safety of your little one
When your child is still very young and you are carrying him/her in your arms, we advise you to turn the car seat towards the door beforehand. This will allow you to place your baby more easily in the seat.
Normally, use of the swivelling system is more intensive when child is small and travelling rearward facing. Once you have installed your child, turn the seat to position it rearwarfacing.
Remember to regularly check that Top Tether is taut and the indicator is green. Daily use of swivel function may cause the Top Tether strap to lose tension, decreasing its effectiveness.
Remember that intermediate swivel position is only for easy access to the seat.
Please make sure to turn the seat to rear or forward facing position before driving.
As your child grows and is able to climb into the seat by himself or travels forward-facing, you will probably reduce the turning action until you stop using it.
